The Samsung AI Food app, Samsung Food Plus, has been updated with new features that allow users to add ingredients to their list and generate recommended recipes simply by taking a photo. This automates food list management, updates the list, and streamlines meal planning. The app is now cross-platform, not limited to Samsung SmartThings and Family Hub, and has integrated Vision AI technology that can recognize over 40,000 ingredients. A paid version, Samsung Food Plus, is available, which includes ad removal and personalization.

Samsung unveiled a new personalized food and recipe app, Samsung Food, at IFA 2023. The app is designed as a central place to manage recipes, meal plans, and shopping lists. It also integrates with the SmartThings smart home platform. Initially supporting Samsung smart ovens, it will later support more Samsung and non-Samsung smart devices.

Samsung has launched the AI-powered recipe app 'Food', featuring 160,000 recipes for users to explore. 'Food' is available in 8 languages and will be released in 104 countries, allowing users to control their cooking devices, create meal plans based on their needs, and discover new recipes. Starting in 2024, 'Food' will also implement Vision AI technology, enabling users to identify nutritional information by simply taking a picture of a meal, and recommending recipes they can make with the ingredients they have on hand.
